Boarding Journey Preparation

To embark on a successful boarding journey, we believe in fostering essential skills and habits that contribute to a positive and productive experience. These include:

Personal Skills
  • Maintain neatness and tidiness, respecting personal spaces.
  • Make beds and organize personal items.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Understand study time importance and work independently.
  • Develop strong social skills based on honesty, respect, and kindness.
  • Set and work towards personal goals.
  • Willingness to try new things and make the most of opportunities, managing study and leisure time effectively.
  • Shower daily with soap.
  • Use deodorant.
  • Brush teeth twice daily.
  • Put dirty clothes into the laundry daily.
  • Communicate concerns promptly and ask for help when needed.
  • Ensure regular communication with parents and staff to stay updated and informed.
  • Mobile phones are not permitted to be kept with students.
  • Students may bring phones when traveling to school, submitting them to the housemaster.
  • Phones are provided only once a week or on specific occasions for limited hours.
  • Mobile phones should not be misused or kept hidden.

All boarders at MMSSIS can access academic support outside the classroom. Regular sessions are run for core subjects, and extra academic support is offered to boarders.

Boarding Journey Preparation

To best prepare for the boarding journey, please adhere to the following guidelines:

School Uniform Requirements

Children require various school uniform clothing items, including belts, blazers, shorts/skirts, pants, school shoes, shirts (long and short-sleeved), socks, tie, house T-shirts, shorts, and track suits.

Certain items, such as pedestal fans, portable heaters, knives, heating rods, laser pointers, and any eatables (as nutritious meals are provided), are strictly forbidden.
